The best gift I’ve ever given would have to be a prepaid cellphone with minutes I donated to a local single mothers group. Just to see how happy she was to have something so basic that we take for granted to be able to call and follow up for jobs and make the daily needed calls we as mothers make.

My grandmother bought me a 1981 Toyota Tercel as a Christmas gift my senior year of high school!! Was in absolute amazement; black, hatchback, racing stripes, pop-top sunroof, and a bunch of little extras… I’m 53 now, but that was awesome!!

Many awesome presents through the years, cabbage patch dolls, my green machine (yes I was an 80’s child). But the best gift was the year my gram was in the hospital and was discharged on Xmas Eve… Her doctor told her to go have a glass of wine, she responded she would prefer a rum and coke.

    Love and miss her….

My best gift was a stuffed monkey, when I was a child I wanted a chimpanzee, back in the days of movies featuring them. Of course my parents would have never granted my Christmas wish but in humor they tied a rope to the Christmas tree with a note “your Santa is outside”, of course I grabbed the rope in excitement and followed it across the yard and as it went high up into a tree, I jerked on the rope until the small stuffed monkey (very cute) fell down with a note attached. “Love this monkey as we love you, cherish this monkey as we cherish you, and with this gift you will grow up and realize its those qualities that will bring you true joy in life.
